Precision Engineering Division :-

A prime constituent of PCI is the Precision Engineering Division – an ISO 9001:2000 certified units located at IMT – Manesar, Gurgaon – the industrial hub in the National Capital Region. The Precision Engineering Division offers total engineering solutions for a wide range of precision activities comprising casting, forging & sophisticated machining. The Precision Engineering Division specializes not just in manufacturing customized high precision engineering products are based on precision machining, 3D profile generation and assembly of components to make systems and sub-systems. The past two decades has seen the Division supply original precision components to leading Indian corporations viz BHEL, NTPC and several quality seeking clients in production capability of the Division for micro-finished components and sub-assemblies with in-built quality control systems, precision profile generation on various metals continues to serve as motivation to address even bigger technical challenges.

The main product offerings of the Division includes Critical items of steam turbine systems for thermal power projects such as cast and hollow turbine blades, Main Oil Pump assembly (MOP), impeller, guide blade carrier assembly governing jack; Hydro-turbine and its components; Industrial Valves, Injection moulds, jigs, fixtures and tooling and even highly complex customized machines including Robotics

The Engineering and Tool Room facility is equipped with state of art 3D CAD/ CAM workstations and conventional as well as CNC machines. The Manufacturing and Fabrication facility comprises equipment to address the complete range of precision engineering requirements by way of machines viz., Horizontal Boring Machining Centre, CNC Turning Centers, Universal Milling Machines, Lathe Machines, Cylindrical and Surface Grinding machines, Drilling/ Tapping Machines and TIG / MIG / Arc welding machines among others.

In addition to the high skill and motivated work force, the success of the Division is in no small measure attributable to the state-of-the-art “in house” investment casting unit and the Testing and Quality Control Facility that is equipped with state of the art equipment such as Optical emission spectrometer, Universal testing machine, Impact testing machine, Hardness tester, a range of measuring instruments for precise dimensional inspection and even non-destructive testing instruments allowing for magnetic particle inspection, dye-penetration testing, ultrasonic testing and radiographic testing.

Investment Casting Division :-

The Investment Casting Division of the flag ship company is an ISO 9001-2000 certified production unit. Equipped with the latest technical advancements, the Division exhibits a vast experience in the field of casting through the lost wax process. The state-of-the-art production facility situated at IMT Manesar is fully geared in the manufacture of the complete range of investment casting of ferrous metals, alloys and finest quality super alloys. The production facility is managed by a highly qualified and experienced team of engineers and metallurgists.

With its capability to handle a wide range of alloys, be it Stainless Steel, Super Alloys based on Nickel & Cobalt, Low Alloys Steels, Low or Medium Carbon Steel or even customized alloys developed per client-specification, the production facility delivers precision cast products in a fully machined & finished condition with the specified surface treatment viz., electro polished or chrome-plated treatments among others. Despite an envious annual production capacity of 400 MT comprising of single casting weighing say 10 grams to 30 Kilograms, the production facility maintains extremely fine levels of tolerance comparable to the very best standards of the industry.

State-of-the-art equipment as well as strict adherence to quality standards makes the Investment Casting Division of PCI a force to reckon with. The production floor has a world-class tool room with CAD / CAM engineering facility, machine shop, machinery for wax injection, shell-production in temperature & humidity controlled environment, induction-melting furnaces, Shot and Sand blasting machines, Air plasma cutting machines, TIG welding machines in addition to CNC and the conventional machining facility.

The quality control floor is backed by a state-of-the-art Physical and Chemical Laboratory comprising of highly advanced equipment covering 3D Measurement Inspection System, Optical Emission, Impact Testing Machines, and Hardness Testers etc. The quality control capability of the company is also augmented by state-of-the-art Non-destructive testing equipment that allows for magnetic particle inspections, dye penetration testing and radiography.

Butterfly valve (Integrally Moulded Rubber Lined):-
Made of wafer type configuration, PCI’s butterfly valves are manufactured with integrally moulded elastomer body liners that clearly outperform loose liners since the elastomer liners is moulded directly in the body bore & vulcanized in situ. Available in different combination of body, liner & disc materials and a size range 50 to 350 mm with a pressure rating of up to PN 16 these

valves further offer users the flexibility to choose the type ideally for their range of line fluids. These valves are designed to fit without gasket between flanges drilled to PN 10/16 or class 125/150.

Butterfly Valve

Design Features:

The valves are designed and manufactured to have optimal mix of structural stability, flow efficiency and effective seating coupled with advantage of light weight, compact design and ease of operation. The valves are provided with integrally moulded elastomer body liner for perfect seating and complete isolation of body material from fluid media. No gaskets are required as the body liner effects a perfect seal between the valve body and the mating pipe flanges.

“PCI Butterfly Valves” conform to API 609 & European standard as per EN 593. It also generally complies with AWWA C-504 and can be manufacture as per the customer requirements.

Three Piece Design Ball Valve:-

These are lever operated full bore valves with a solid floating ball and PTFE seats, are investment cast & precision machined. Being highly durable, these ball valves offer a long service life and exceptional performance in critical applications. Offering users clear advantages of tight shut off and easy maintenance, these valves are available in Socket, Threaded & Flanged ends in a size ranging from ½” to 2” (DN 15 to DN 50).

Design Features:

PCI three piece ball valves are full bore solid one piece floating ball type with PTEF seats & lever operated precision machined under strict quality control.
PCI ball valves offer tight shut off, long service life and high durability with exceptional performance in many service applications.

Three Pressure (Safety) Relief Valve:-

PCI Safety Relief Valves are designed and manufactured to meet the requirement of all a variety of applications as per API 520 and also conform to ASME code-VIII, the design requirement of Indian boiler regulations, these safety relief valve with SS internals are ideal for low pressure applications viz compressors, pressure vessel, gas plants, refineries, pipe lines etc. Available in nominal size of DN 25 & DN 50 with a pressure rating of up to PSI 600 these valves are equipped with a guided lift system for optimal performance.

Safety Valve

Design Features:

PCI make safety valves are direct spring loaded type available in carbon steel & stainless steel 304/316. Each safety valve is carefully inspected and pressure set according to the exact requirement of the user. Pressure Setting can also be adjusted by the user at the installation site by loosening or tightening adjusting bolt as per the required pressure.

They are of Full Lift type direct spring loaded, with a top guide, the full nozzle has the eliminating distortion of the seating surface, as body strain is not transmitted, the nozzle is made from a corrosion resistance stainless Steel material, When closed position, the fluid does not come in contact with the valve Body an therefore only subject to the outlet pressure which is very much lower pressure.
